What takeout can you get closest/fastest from your home? What's the best and closest?

For us, it's a Vietnamese Pho place. And it's probably one of the best options in the neighborhood. It's literally under our building, even though we have to walk around the block to get there. Tasty, cheap and fast - the only problem is when it's closed on Tuesdays.

Absolutely!

There's this one user that very belligerently tried to convince me that I'm an idiot for wanting to live in the dirty, noisy horrible city and everything I could possibly want and need can be had in her nice, woodsy, quiet suburb. Well, maybe, but not my sanity or my sense of place!

Ну, справедливости ради, я же москвичка, и всегда думала, что нигде, кроме большого города, жить не могу. Ну, и я была не права :)

I've lived in a suburb that was well-enough connected to the city that it shouldn't have been a problem (Arlington, VA), but I felt awful there. And I lived in a college town that was fine, but I suspect it's because I knew I'd leave.
