With your clearly nomadic tendencies (who knows where you'll be living 5 years from now), I suggest you do give it at least a thought in the next couple of years. For the most practical reason of all - while you're on the West Coast, it's considerably easier to get to both Oz and NZ (reasonably short, non-stop flight).
