Stupid Facebook and their new picture viewing mode has made it difficult to link to picture location sources, so these are smaller.
Even though we did drive through it several times, we never did make it to Downtown Palm Springs. But, we don't care for touristy shopping, crowded restaurants or loud bars.
Breakfast in Palm Springs

These can be found in the Colorado Desert part of Joshua Tree

The bluest skies

Gray bouquet

Oasis

I'd pick him up!

Husband on a rock

Cheburashka on horseback

Reindeer

The Joshua Tree, which grows in the Mohave Desert part

Skull rock. That white on his nose is snow, I swear!

I call this one Precarious Rock

Here's the page about Noah Purifoy

Horsey

The new ИЗНАКУРНОЖ?

Or this one?

Lunch tray DNA

Neptune?

I love this place - it's totally desolate and freaky. You look at a map, and there are streets laid out, and when you get there all you see is tumbleweeds with the occasional house (some of which look OK, some quite dilapidated). Read about Salton City here.
Fish heads, fish heads, roly poly fish heads

Floating in the water

They don't wear sweaters

Tiny oasis

Salton City

Bombay Beach
We ate at the Ski Inn with some random hippies, just like Anthony Bourdain.
