1. I wonder if people are more likely to be depressed if their lives are very scheduled, regimented. Like, if you do the same exact thing the same exact way every day, it might be a bit boring and not that stimulating. Unless, of course, your personality skews toward the heavily-regimented. But I don't know how much of the population is like that.

2. I am actually totally rooting for Santorum to be nominated! I think it would be hilarious, and also, I'll get to use this userpic even more!

2a. Have you noticed that all of the Republican candidates are using shortened version of their first names (and in some cases, middle names)? Is it that they're trying to be informal, folksy, just like us?

1. Dude. That's a question only a person of leisure can ask herself. :)

2. Hopefully not. I might actually have to vote for Obama if he does. Now THAT would be really bad.

3. I was just thinking about that today! But the truth is, they ARE folksy. Though perhaps Romney is not, he is a governor's son, after all, and went to Cranbrook and Harvard. But someone like Santorum or Newt--totally. Much more so than Obama.

1) Very much depends on the thing you are doing. My life is very regimented, but not boring at all.

Do you have a routine that is the same every day and every weekend? As I said, maybe it's just that my personality isn't conducive.

Every day, but not weekend. Every weekend is similar to each other, though. I was bored out of my mind when I was staying home with my child, too.

I don't think I'm bored by staying home with her, I just had a thought that too much routine doesn't work for me, I need a bit of variety.

1. I think an overly scheduled regimented life can easily cross into the "groundhog day" territory and that can definitely lead to depression.
2. Santorum is the biggest bozo ever, second only to Sarah Palin.

1. Yes.
2. YES! And she would have made an awesome nominee, too!

2. I like Ron Paul too – he had a starring role in "Bruno", one of my favorite movies of all time.

I like Ron Paul in theory, but when you listen to some of his policy ideas, it's fucking scary.

That makes sense. Many people get totally depressed in chaos because they feel like the disorganization is too much. But the problem for me is when I fall into a routine, fall into the doldrums.
