Встречаю в воскресение в Торговце Жопе своего школьного друга и его старшую дочь, ей вроде лет 6. Поговорили о жизни-детях-работе-машинах-старых друзей. Вчера приходит электронное приглашение на крестины его третьего и четвертого ребенка (2 года и почти 3 месяца). В эту субботу. Типа "вспомнили". Я, конечно не пойду - мне его ревитализированный католицизм сами знаете насколько нужен. Но тем не менее, забавно.

А это не для проформы? Интересно отчего некоторые религиознеют?

Do you mean he invited me pro forma or went religious? I had a conversation with him about the latter and I think he really is serious about it. He didn't grow up very religious (in SF!) and before he got his girlfriend pregnant, had a habit of having a girlfriend and an ex and switching them places every once in a while. Then he got married and decided that Jesus was his crutch in life. And he put it this way, too, because I was talking about how religion is a crutch for people who can't be responsible for themselves.

I guess maybe then religious people are right, when they talk about how it's only religion that is keeping them from going all out of control and breaking law. (You know what I'm talking about? Usually, that point is brought up in conversations about religion and morality.)

Yes, and that's totally fucked up! I mean, really, the only thing keeping you from killing someone is god, no other compunctions? Then I really don't want to be friends with you!
